Teaching Assistant for the "Primavera" section

 

The International School of Turin is seeking a caring, motivated, and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years “Primavera” section, working with children aged 2 to 3 years.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young learners.
  • Assist with daily care routines, supervision, and play-based learning activities.
  • Contribute to classroom organization and the development of age-appropriate learning experiences.
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency level of English and advanced knowledge of Italian.
  • Previous experience working with toddlers (ages 2–3).
  • Experience in an international school or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A patient, caring, and collaborative approach to supporting young learners.
  • All nationalities are welcome, provided candidates already have valid papers to regularly live and work (full time) in Italy.

Special Needs Support One-to-One Assistant – Primary School 

 

The International School of Turin is looking for a dedicated One-to-One Assistant to support a student with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised support to the student throughout the school day.
  • Assist with learning activities, social integration, and daily routines.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, the Student Support team, and parents to implement strategies tailored to the student’s needs.
  • Encourage independence and self-confidence while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency level of English (C2 or equivalent).
  • Good knowledge of Italian is an asset.
  • Educational background and proven experience in one-to-one support for children with special needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural school environment.
  • All nationalities are welcome, provided candidates already have valid papers to regularly live and work (full time) in Italy.

It is school policy to actively seek confidential references for all new employees including at least one from the previous three employers.
All new employees coming from outside Italy are required to provide a police background check from their current country of employment/residence and all previous countries worked.
Locally hired staff are required to provide a police background check with the local police authorities.
