PYP Classroom Teacher (Grade 5) - MATERNITY COVER
IST is seeking a qualified and experienced Classroom Teacher to provide maternity cover for our Grade 5 class (approximately 10/11 years old).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and deliver an engaging, inquiry-based curriculum consistent with the IB PYP philosophy and standards.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that supports the well-being and academic growth of every student.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiating instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaborate actively with the PYP team, colleagues, and parents.
- Accompany Gr. 5 students in their transition to middle school
Essential Requirements
- Teaching Certification/Qualification (or an internationally recognized equivalent) for Primary/Elementary Education.
- Previous teaching experience within an international school setting.
- Direct experience or good knowledge in implementing the IB PYP curriculum.
- Perfect command and fluency in the English language, both written and oral, which is essential for the teaching environment.
- Proven classroom management skills and a positive, flexible approach to teamwork.

One-to-One Assistant for Primary School Student with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
IST IS seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced One-to-One Assistant to support a Primary School student with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an inclusive classroom setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the student, the class teacher, and the family to implement an individualised education plan and foster the student's academic, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct, one-to-one support to the student, adapting tasks and materials to meet their specific needs.
- Assist the student with classroom activities, behavioural management, and social integration.
- Monitor and record the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SEN coordinator.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment.
- Support the student during transitions and non-classroom activities (e.g., lunch, playtime).
Essential Requirements
- Appropriate Training/Qualifications: Proven educational background or formal training relevant to Special Educational Needs (e.g., specific diplomas, degrees in Education, Psychology, or related fields).
- Experience: Significant and demonstrable previous experience (minimum [Specificare il Numero, es. 2 years]) working directly with children in a Primary School setting, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Bilingual Proficiency: Perfect written and spoken command of both the English and Italian languages is absolutely essential.
- Soft Skills: Patience, empathy, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferable Requirements:
- Residence in Turin or surrounding areas
- Be already in possession of valid paperwork to live and work in Italy.

Science Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026/2027 academic year.
IST is seeking for an IB DP Chemistry Teacher, to work with IBDP and MYP students:
Essential Requirements :
- Proven experience teaching IB DP Chemistry (Diploma Programme).
- Excellent command of the English language (mother tongue level).
Preferable Requirements:
- Experience teaching the IB MYP (Middle Years Programme).
- Laboratory experience and strong practical lab management skills.
- Experience in an international school or multicultural environment is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A patient, caring, and collaborative approach to supporting young learners.
